Full Version: how to use audit manager ?

Hi,

I'm testing the corporate edition of Everest, and I don't understand how to use the audit manager. Is there a tutorial out there ?
I mean, I know I can do automatic reports for each computer on my LAN, which are saved on the /Reports dir. I also know I can use a database as SQL or and Access file to save data.

But what I need, is generate a basic report every day for each computer (but in just one file), and then to compare (audit) this general basic report with the report of a day before it.

I think this would be as "freezed" the monitoring of several computer certain day, and to compare with the "freezed" data of another day.
I also need to get the basic report of the computers in the LAN (but in the same file, not a file for each computer), even when some computers are power off.

Thank you for you answer.

1) You can use the Change Manager to compare audit "snapshots" with each other and to see what's changed.

2) You can create a single report with the full audit included by going to Audit Manager, loading all reports from either CSV reports or SQL database, then right-click on "List 4 (Computer)" or "Statistics 1 (Narrow)" to create report.
