Hi
i have a registry value in my PC that i would like Everest to retrieve the value and display in the audit manager. I did this from File -> Preferences -> Summary -> Custom Variables.

In the custom variable #1, i configured it as "Department" for the title, and the path of the registry entry is (pls see the attached picture) :
"My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ABC"

In the ABC registry key, i have the following value :
Name : Department
Type : REG_SZ
Data : Finance

But after i run the everest pro, i couldn't see the value being retrieved by Everest, under the SUMMARY pane, for the custom variable "Department" , i couldn't see any value there.

Anyone can help me here on how should i instruct Everest to display the value for that registry key in the report ?

Change "My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ABC" to "HKLM\SOFTWARE\ABC\Department"

I've tried this command for my case ; with a REG_SZ value : it's ok
Big difference : my value is not REG_SZ but REG_EXPAND_SZ
and in that case, it does not work

Can you tell me which Registry key do you want to audit?

It is an own registry key located "HKLM\Software\MyCompany\Inventory\NumInv"
This key if for our Inventory number and is automatically created during PC installation
