Hi, I'm testing this wonderful software.
I put a NT logon script in my server so every PC on my domain runs everest. The line is this:
\\inventar\everest\everest.exe /R \\inventar\data\$hostname /audit /csv /safe /silent /delay 60 /idle
This line give me no problems, a lot of PCs are running the software and writting the .csv on \\inventar\data but I have some PCs that are NOT writting the .csv on \\inventar\data or elsewere.
This "server" is a PIII 866MHz with 256MB RAM, 12 GB free on HDD.
So to explain it again, my LAN has more than 250 pcs, but only 175 are writting the .CSV, all my PC executes the logon script every morning. All of this PCs are Win98, no W2k or XP is failing to write .CSV.
The audit interval is set to once per day.
Thanks a lot, I hope you can help me so I can buy the soft.
Bye,
Enzo.

Can you maybe try to create a report manually on a system where the automatic procedure fails? It would be important to know at which place the report creation process stops or breaks on the problemous computers.
Thanks,
Fiery

I've tried this, run the software from one PC with this problem, in the command line I write \\inventar\everest\everest.exe /R \\inventar\data\$hostname /audit /csv /safe /silent /delay 60 /idle
it runs ok and writes the .CSV file on the server.
I dont know what else I can do.
Hope other hint from you, thanks.
Enzo.

Are you sure your Win98 systems actually start the logon script and iterate through it properly? Maybe try to add another line for testing purposes to have a feedback on the successful launch of the script on the Win98 systems.
